Three book launches in one night!

Well, it is was very special night on Tuesday, 20 January with three book launches at the first ever Poetry at the Pub for 2026. All three collections are published by Flying Islands Press and the images of the poets below are courtesy of Flying Islands Poetry Community Inc.

The evening started with Magdalena Ball launching Ronald Atilano’s first collection of poems, New Ordinance for the Dead. Ronald followed with a reading from his collection.

Next up we had Gillian Swain who launched Dael Allison’s collection Blimmin’ Wimmen. Dael read several of her poems.

Finally Jean Kent launched Kit Kelen’s collection, Food of Love – 101 short poems inspired mainly by classical music. Kit read several of his poems accompanied by Paul on the keyboards. A very enjoyable night.

Please support Flying Islands Press by buying some of these marvellous little poetry collections.
